While most kratom strains get their names from their places of origin, Red Elephant’s name is adopted from the unique size and shape of its leaves. The Origins & Profile of Red Elephant Kratom

Red Elephant Kratom grows across Southeast Asia in humid and tropical environments. What sets it apart is the size of its leaves, which are the largest known for a kratom strain. In terms of aroma, the variety is generally a notably slower strain within the red vein category. It may share some similarities to slower strains with concentrated profiles like Red Bali.

There are three vein-color varieties of the Elephant strain. White-vein leaves are harvested the earliest, followed by green-vein, and the red variety is harvested the latest of the three. The white and green varieties of the strain are usually dried indoors, while Red Elephant leaves are typically partially sun-dried. These differences in harvesting time and drying techniques have an influence on the alkaloid profile and overall aroma. Out of the three, Red Elephant generally contains a slower aroma and concentrated alkaloid profile.

Our Southeast Asian farmers carefully handpick red vein leaves from well-established Elephant trees. These leaves are then partially sun-dried and taken indoors to complete the drying process. Once fully dry, the leaves get milled to a 100-micron grind consistency. After we conduct thorough 3^rd party lab-testing, Red Elephant kratom batches are visually inspected and sent for encapsulation and final packaging.
