Herbal Salvation has been around for close to a decade, servicing the kratom community since 2012. But aside from selling quality kratom, the vendor has also been known to take part in activities that aim to protect the interest of the kratom freedom. They were one of the biggest contributors to protect kratom in 2017 when the DEA tried to ban the herb.
Today, they’re recognized as something of a mainstay in the kratom hall-of-fame, but mostly because of their contributions to the future of kratom. In terms of product quality and purity however, things start to get a little foggy. Here’s what you need to know.
You’d think that a brand that’s been around for close to a decade would have more reviews about them. But interestingly, Herbal Salvation doesn’t have a lot of information from consumers on the web. Their website — although allowing buyers to leave comments for their products — hasn’t really accumulated enough feedback to be considered a reliable resource.
That might be in part because of a strange business change that took place a few years back, when Herbal Salvation birthed Viable Solutions. In part, it seemed like they changed their name all together, but as the Herbal Salvation name continued on even after it espoused Viable Solutions, it’s not entirely clear what happened.
What we do know however is that around the same time, the second brand voluntarily recalled a number of their products for salmonella contamination. For clarification, salmonella is a kind of bacteria that comes from feces. So, if their kratom was contaminated with the stuff, then it really begs the question — how?
Do note that based on the FDA reports for the recall, the products were labeled ‘Herbal Salvation’ even if they did come from Viable Solutions. So, all of that considered, there’s really no way to tell where the brand stands in terms of purity and safety since no one really talks about it.
If you’re willing to overlook the whole salmonella thing, then you might want to consider the kinds of kratom that Herbal Salvation offers. They deliver a modest range of kratom choices that provide some of the most popular strains you’ll find. These include:
These are sold in limited color vein choices depending on each strain, so you’re not going to get quite as diverse a selection compared to other vendors. On the upside, they do sell other kratom products from other brands on the market, like Nodzilla. Capsules are also available for most of the Herbal Slavation powders they offer.
Weights for their powders include 250g, 500g, 1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 4kg, 5kg, and 10kg. Capsules come in bottles of 40, 80, or 160 count. If you’re interested in variety, they have half-way split 500g powder bags, and 2 or 4-way split kilograms.
And of course, it’s important to mention that Herbal Salvation doesn’t provide lab reports for their products. Unfortunately, even that close run-in with the FDA didn’t knock some sense into the brand. So, there’s really no way to tell if you’re getting salmonella with their products, and whether you’re getting as much mitragynine as they claim.
One good thing about Herbal Salvation is that they know what reasonable kratom prices look like. They sell 250g packs for just $45, 500g for $65, and their kilograms for a modest $95. If you’re looking to get your hands on heir 10kg packs, they sell the ultra-bulk package for just $595, placing each kilo at an industry-low $59.50 each.
They’re also known to provide regular discount codes that you can find at the top of their website. Their 10% off discount voucher is almost always available, letting buyers get 10% off of their purchase regardless if they’re buying for the first time.
For repeat orders, they have a newsletter that lets you gain access to their latest voucher codes and promotional offers. Of course, they also have a bunch of socials that you can like or follow to get exclusive updates on discounts and sales.
All in all, Herbal Salvation seems to be doing pretty well for itself. Despite the scarcity of reviews, the ones that are available talk about a positive experience, excellent product, and a fun customer experience. But then again, the whole salmonella issue feels like a giant elephant in the room.
We can all just hope that that run in with the FDA has since been resolved. And because we’re not really catching wind of any complaints or legal issues about Herbal Salvation these days, we can assume the brand has done their part to protect their business and thus the integrity of kratom which they seem to be pretty adamant about.
